Valid Information Systems has won a contract from the Office of
Government Commerce to implement internal document and records management
using Valid's R/KYV solution. The contract, worth over £620,000,
was won following a competitive procurement process.
The 450 users of the system will be able to manage all documentation
whether paper or electronic - store it, share it and file it according
to any number of statutory requirements, most notably enabling the
organisation to comply with the Freedom of Information Act and Data
Protection Act.
Nic Hopkins, Director of Customer Systems and Services Division,
OGC: "We have been able to implement our Retriever system using
the Valid solution in a very short period of time. Teams within
OGC are already experiencing improvements in their ability to store
and retrieve documents and records."
The solution was selected from the National Archives-approved 2002
options as providing the best value for money and most fit for purpose
with a client group including The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister,
The National Audit Office and The Care Council of Wales. Last but
not least, Valid was considered a supportive and genuinely client-focused
supplier.
